WADE SIMMONS SPECIAL EDITION FACTORY GLOVE

This glove was created as a special edition for freeride phenom Wade Simmons, and as something that Rocky Mountain Bicycles could offer to complement its 2009 Slayer. That’s Wade’s signature bike, and its art gave us an opportunity to cut loose with style.

We’ve been developing something new called the “Team Fit,” and this rendition takes advantage of it. A conventional fit is fine for most riders, but pros have been begging for something with a snugger feel, especially in the palm. Manufacturers steer clear of that idea because it makes the glove a little tougher to put on, even though the design enhances tactile response and grip. Those benefits are critical if you’re pushing your limits with a soundtrack of mud, sweat and tires. Wade got his wish with this glove, and now you can get yours.

This special edition is mostly white, which adds to the aura of being a collectible design. That’s something we envisioned from the start. You wouldn’t wear it every day, and given the detail on the palm, you might be tempted to stick it in a glass case.
